1. My favorite song of the past few days!

  2. De neergang van de creatieve klasse - Vrij Nederland

This Dutch article shows how creatives get it harder and harder. But there is hope, people that adapt to the new situation, understand new media and use their creativity have the future. Currently there are some interesting shifts happening where libraries become meeting places and where “De Correspondent”, an online journal, raises more than a million within a month by crowdfunding. There will change a lot but the creative industry will  remain an important inspiration for our society.

  3. I love my DSLR a lot, but I think I use that nifty camera in my phone even more. VSCO Cam is without doubt my favorite app to do some color tweaking before uploading it to the web. VCSO decided to redesign the app for the future with new focus on social, new interface and functions! And the best of this alll: it will become free!

  4. I want to thank everyone for reblogging and liking the “toys made of recycled flipflops” post. It went completely nuts with more than 16.000 reblogs and likes in just two days. Please have a look at the Ocean Sole website and buying something to support these artisans!
Also have a look at the Ocean Sole Facebook page for more pictures of their products and process!

  6. Very smart street ad. A spanish organization against child abuse created an ad with a different message for children. When an adult taller than 1.35m looks at the ad it will see the message “sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.”.  By using special lens techniques kids younger than 1.35m will see the message:  “if somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you”. This to empower the abused child to tell it’s story, even  paticulary when the abuser stands next to the kid.

  7. Beautiful video about bullying with a positive message!

  8. Briljant video by Cyriak and even more briljant music by Bonobo!

  9. Barack Obama should become a comedian! Well done.

  10. Found this today! Rai Thistlethwayte looped this amazing piece together, very funky!

  11. One of the most beautiful campaigns of the year! So smart and honest.

  12. Hyperlapses are Timelapse movies with camera sweeps to highlight interesting objects. Teehan + Lax Lab, the creative research lab of one of my favorite digital studios Teehan + Lax, made a tool to generate hyperlapses with the use of Google Streetview! Very cool project!
